Gender Pay Gap Data

Avenues is a not-for profit organisation which works with people with autism, learning disability, and multiple or complex needs.

Our mission is to reduce the disadvantage people face through their disability, illness or injury, and we are opposed to discrimination of any kind.

This includes gender inequality, and we welcome the introduction of this mandatory reporting as another way we can make sure we are remaining true to our mission, and as we embark on our new three year HR strategy which has an emphasis on equality and diversity.

We will undertake an equality monitoring programme which focuses on recruitment and promotion and where there are gaps, taking positive action.  This will address the small pay gaps identified, ensuring that women have an equal opportunity to undertake higher paid senior management roles.

The requirement applies to all organisations which employ more than 250 people and follows the collection of national data which shows that men are on average currently paid 9.1 per cent more than women*.

We will be sharing this information about pay and gender internally, as part of our commitment to open communication with our staff.
